Dr. Vivian Bucay

Dr. Bucay’s credentials span a wide scope of biomedical research, patient care, and medical education. Dr. Bucay practiced in Mexico City from 1991-1999 before relocating to San Antonio with her husband and three daughters.

Licensed in both the United States and Mexico, she is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, completing her undergraduate studies in 1983 while serving as a research assistant at the Johns Hopkins Oncology Center. She earned her MD in 1987 from Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine. After completing an internship in pediatrics in 1988, Dr. Bucay began a residency in dermatology at The University of Miami School of Medicine, which she then completed at Baylor College of Medicine in 1991.

Dr. Bucay serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies of the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. Dr. Bucay serves as faculty on several continuing medical educational initiatives in the USA and internationally. She is sought for speaking engagements and has been featured as a keynote speaker across the globe on a wide scope of topics ranging from innovations in facial aesthetics to the science of skin care to cancer survival.

Zoe Diana Draelos MD is a research and clinical Board Certified Dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is in solo private practice in High Point, North Carolina, and a Consulting Professor of Dermatology at Duke University.

In 1988, she founded Dermatology Consulting Services, PLLC, to initiate and perform research in aging skin, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, actinic keratoses, eczema, and aesthetic procedures in the cosmetic, OTC drug, and pharmaceutical arenas. Prior to pursuing a medical career, Dr. Draelos completed an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and was elected a Rhodes Scholar. A member of Sigma Xi research honorary and Alpha Omega Alpha medical honorary, she is author of 14 books including Cosmetics in Dermatology and Hair Cosmetics and Cosmetic Dermatology: Products and Procedures, as well as the editor of Cosmeceuticals, now in its third edition and translated into 5 languages. She has contributed chapters to 38 textbooks, written 78 posters, served as the principle investigator on 621 studies, written 541 published papers, delivered 318 oral presentations, served on or contributed to 38 journal editorial boards, functioned as the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology for 10 years, and was a past member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She was Vice-President of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is recognized as a pioneer in cosmetic dermatology and received a lifetime achievement award from Health Beauty America for her research and the 2008 DermArts award for her contributions to dermatology. In 2010, she received the Albert Kligman Innovation Award and in 2016 she was awarded a Presidential Citation from the American Academy of Dermatology for her research contributions to advance the specialty. She received the prestigious Maison deNavarre award from the Society of Cosmetic Chemists for her contributions to the art and science of cosmetics in 2017.

Dr. Michael Gold

Dr. Robert Kellar

Robert Kellar

Dr. Kellar is an Associate Professor of Practice in Biological Sciences and the Center for Bioengineering Innovation. He is the Co-Director of the Bioengineering PhD Program, the Co-Director of the Imaging & Histology Core Facility (IHCF), and an adjunct faculty member in Mechanical Engineering.

Dr. Kellar’s academic laboratory is called the Tissue Engineering & Regenerative Medicine (TERM) Laboratory. His lab focuses on biomaterials, biocompatibility, cell & tissue culture, stem cell biology, and wound healing.

Dr. Kellar is the Founder and President of Development Engineering Sciences, LLC, a biomedical consulting firm. He has over 15 years of experience in the development and regulatory approval of medical devices, cell-based products, and tissue engineered technology. Previously, Dr. Kellar was VP of Research and Development at Histogen, Inc. where he led multi-functional project teams for all aspects of product development. Prior to Histogen, Dr. Kellar was a product specialist for the first FDA-approved thoracic endograft at W.L. Gore and Associates where he served a lead role in development, regulatory, clinical trials, marketing, sales, and business for the thoracic device and the product portfolio. Previous to this position, Dr. Kellar was a product specialist for the Global Oral Health Business at W.L. Gore & Associates (both Gore-Tex® Regenerative Membranes and the entire resorbable membrane portfolio). Prior to Gore, at Advanced Tissue Sciences, Inc. he led cardiovascular research programs and managed the Anginera® program.

Dr. Kellar previously served on the Scientific Advisory Board for Theregen and the Advisory Board for Flagship Biosciences, a digital pathology company he helped co-found. He currently serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for MyoStim, the Board of Directors for the Surfaces in Biomaterials Foundation, the Advisory Board for Protein Genomics, and the Advisory Board for the California Stock Xchange. He earned his Ph.D. in Physiological Sciences from the University of Arizona in the Biomedical Engineering Laboratory of Dr. Stuart K. Williams.

Dr. E. Victor Ross

E. Victor Ross, MD, is a Dermatologist specializing in laser surgery of the skin. He uses a broad array of technologies to reduce red and brown skin lesions, wrinkles and unwanted hair, improve spider veins of the legs and improve the appearance of scars, including acne scars.

Other newer noninvasive skin tightening and fat reduction tools are also available in the practice. Dr. Ross also provides a variety of injectables and fillers to relax upper face lines and replace lost volume of the lower face.

He was the first Navy-sponsored fellow in photomedicine and lasers at Massachusetts General Hospital, where he conducted research and clinical trials in photodynamic therapy and novel laser applications. He was honored with the prestigious Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Award for Excellence in Military Medicine. He was elected president of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to promoting excellence in patient care. He was also elected to the Board of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He was recognized by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS) with the Caroline and William Mark Memorial Award, as well as the Leon Goldman Award, for his lifetime contributions to research.

Presently, he is the Director of the Scripps Clinic Laser and Cosmetic Dermatology Center and a frequent lecturer at national and international meetings on cutaneous laser medicine. He also serves on the editorial board of two major dermatologic journals.

Dr. Grant Stevens

Dr. Grant Stevens is the Founder and Medical Director of Marina Plastic Surgery and The Institute; A Medical Spa in Marina Del Rey, California, as well as Medical Director of Orange Twist Brands, offering multi-location non-invasive and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments. He is also the Chairman of the USC-Marina Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship and the Director of the USC Division of Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr. Stevens graduated with honors from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis where he was awarded the Senior Prize in Surgery. He completed his general surgery training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, then returned to Washington University-Barnes Hospital where he completed a Fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with Dr. Paul Weeks, Dr. Leroy Young, Dr. Tom Mustoe, Dr. Jeffrey Marsh, and Dr. R. Dr. Stevens is on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and is Chairman of the Media Relations Committee and the Exhibits Committee. He is an active member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and he is on the Board of Directors and one of the International Traveling Professors.

Dr. Stevens has authored more than 60 articles and chapters on aesthetic plastic surgery. He recently completed a chapter on mastopexy and mastopexy augmentation in Grabb and Smith. He has also lectured at numerous International, National and Regional meetings. Dr. Stevens is a member of many medical societies, including the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the International College of Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery.

Dr. Emil Tanghetti

Dr. Tanghetti is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Fellow in the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is currently listed in the “Best Doctors in America” Pacific Region and recognized as “Top Doc” by his peers in Sacramento Magazine.

Dr. Tanghetti has received the “Hero In Health Care” award for his volunteer work in removing tattoos for the California Youth Authority. Dr. Tanghetti has been active in clinical studies for over a decade. His research interests have focused on laser surgery, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, photo-aging, and acne vulgaris.

He attended U.C Davis where he excelled in his studies and received early admission to UCLA School of Medicine after only three years of undergraduate studies. Upon completing his medical studies and a 1-year pathology fellowship Dr. Tanghetti graduated first in his class and received the Dean Warren medal for academic excellence. After finishing residencies in internal medicine at Stanford University and dermatology at Harvard School of Medicine, he completed a photo-medicine fellowship at the Wellman labs at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

His work has been published in journals such as Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, Journal of Dermatologic Surgery, the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy, and Cutis. Dr. Robert Weiss

r. Robert A. Weiss is a former Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has served as President of three major dermatologic/vein surgery organizations: The American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the North American Society of Phlebology (now the American College of Phlebology). He is very active in teaching for ASDS, ASLMS, and the American Academy of Dermatology.

His education included residency in dermatology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital after graduating from Columbia University and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (1978). Additional fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health in dermatologic research followed. Board Certified, he has been a featured speaker for the AAD, ASDS, and ASLMS for over 25 years, as well as speaking to many other national and international dermatology and cosmetic organizations and societies. He has received numerous international awards of recognition. A prolific author of over 100 articles and a dozen textbooks including “Vein Diagnosis & Treatment: A Comprehensive Approach,” published by McGraw-Hill, and “Cosmetic Dermatology.”

Dr. Weiss has helped to prepare examination questions for the American Board of Dermatology. He has served on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has published extensively on many subjects, especially varicose vein treatment, sclerotherapy, lasers, and cosmetic dermatologic surgery. Dr. Holly Gunn

Dr. Gunn offers dermatology care for all ages and specializes in medical, surgical, cosmetic and laser dermatology. She recently served as assistant professor of Dermatology and Director of the UAB Dermatology Cosmetic and Laser Clinic.

Dr. Gunn is from Alabama. She graduated in biochemistry at the University of Maryland. She then attended medical school in her hometown at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Honor Society as a medical student. She moved to Pennsylvania with her husband and completed an internal medicine internship, skin cancer prevention research fellowship and dermatology residency at Penn State University Hershey Medical Center. She also obtained a Masters in Public Health Sciences during her residency and fellowship years. She is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. During her residency she became skilled at diagnosing and treating skin diseases of all ages and ethnicities. She also received a Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award to pursue her interest in pediatric dermatologic surgery at Northwestern University. She is passionate about skin cancer prevention and has published articles in dermatology and psychology journals for her research and experience in dermatologic diseases. She also has a special interest in cosmetic dermatology. During residency she organized a cosmetic training clinic allowing her to practice, teach and develop her expertise in treating acne scarring, wrinkles, sun spots, and other signs of aging. She also taught residents as the Cosmetic Dermatology Director at UAB.

Dr. Rachel Fidino

Dr. Rachel Fidino is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with over ten years of clinical experience. She is double board certified and holds national certifications as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and in Advanced Genetics Nursing.

Dr. Fidino believes in personalized and precision healthcare and specializes in Genetic Counseling and testing services. She opened New U Women’s Clinic and Aesthetics in February 2020 as a one stop solution for women of all ages. Her expertise is in hereditary cancer syndromes, comprehensive women’s health, hormone replacement therapy, and state-of-the-art aesthetic procedures. Dr. Fidino is a published author and was featured on the cover of Women’s Healthcare Journal for her article on Caring for Women on Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy following breast cancer treatment. She is a National Keynote Speaker for Cancer Genetics, National FDA trainer for Merck, and speaks at conferences across the country on various women’s health issues. She was recognized as 1 of 10 Young Professionals in Business under the age of 40 by the Tri-Cities Journal of Business in 2021. She won the 2022 ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award. New U Women’s Clinic & Aesthetics was voted Best Women’s Clinic, Weight Loss Center, & Med Spa for Tri Cities Best in 2022.

Dr. Fidino is a Master Injector who is known for creating a treatment plan that combines the science and art of beauty. She holds multiple aesthetic certifications, such as, MINT PDO Threading, Instalift, Vampire Natural Growth Factor Injections procedures, O-shot, P-shot, and Miracu.

Dr. Fidino is the Founder of a 501c3 nonprofit called the Healing Hands Project that improves menstrual health, access to feminine hygiene products, and quality of life for low-income and homeless women across our state. Organizations from across the country reach out to HHP asking for help to provide feminine hygiene kits for homeless women and sex trafficking victims.

She is passionate about improving the lives of women and actively involved in legislation for Washington State. She presented SB5716 with Senator Sharon Brown that would increase payer coverage for women who are high-risk for breast cancer. She is actively involved in legislation at both the state and federal level.

A graduate of Beloit College with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Dr. Franco earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Franco served his residency in Plastic Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. There, he was chief resident from 2010-2011. In 2011, he completed additional training at Chan Gung Hospital in Taiwan with a focus on microsurgery primarily in cancer reconstruction, followed by a fellowship at Gent University Hospital in Belgium where he specialized in breast reconstruction and fat transfer.

Dr. Franco has an impressive history of publications and presentations and has received many academic achievement awards including the Walter S. Haven Prize, Elizabeth W. Souter Award and the Merck Index Award.

He is currently Clinical Faculty at The University of Texas Dell Medical School. He also is a reviewer for the Aesthetic Journal and Annals of Plastic Surgery where he reviews the articles for publication from other plastic surgeons around the world. He is an active member of the Austin Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He is also an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeon and American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
