Aesthetics Biomedical® Names World Renowned Experts To Prestigious Scientific Advisory Board

[MAY 2020 – Phoenix, AZ] The innovators at Aesthetics Biomedical® (ABM), a leading aesthetics device and product development corporation are honored and excited to announce that Drs. Wendy Roberts, Zoe Draelos, Robert Kellar, Vivian Bucay, and Emil Tanghetti have been appointed to the company’s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB).

The goal of the SAB is to collaborate with the most trusted plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and biomedical device and skincare treatment experts to provide scientific research and input into the company’s new product development, experience offerings, and clinical study design and execution. Collectively they contribute to advise ABM’s senior leadership team on all aspects of the company’s clinical operations and product development.

Each of these individuals bring tremendous talent and expertise to Aesthetics Biomedical’s Scientific Advisory Board:

Wendy Roberts, MD – Dr. Wendy Roberts is a double board-certified dermatologist and the Founding Director of Dermatopathology of Loma Linda Division of Dermatology. She pioneered and developed Generational Dermatology™ which is a detailed system of age management. Dr. Roberts recent achievements include being the Physician Expert for season 1 of Chasing the Cure Live with Ann Curry, earning a spot on the cover of Dermatologist in October 2019, Moderator and Author of JDD Supplement Practical Applications for Medical and Aesthetic Treatment of Skin Of Color, and being the first and only female dermatologist to exclusively own her own meeting.

Zoe Draelos, MD – Dr. Zoe Draelos is a research and clinical board-certified dermatologist. She has a solo private practice in North Carolina and is the founder of Dermatology Consulting Services, PLLC. Dr. Draelos was elected Vice President of the American Academy of Dermatology. In addition to the 3rd edition of her Cosmetic Dermatology textbook currently under preparation, Dr. Draelos’ recent achievements include the Society of Cosmetic Chemists awarding her both the 2018 Maison de Nevarre award given to an individual who has contributed greatly through research for the advancement of Cosmetic Science followed by the inaugural Florence Wall Award in 2019 given to the most influential woman in Cosmetic Science.

Robert Kellar Ph.D. – Dr. Robert Kellar is Founder and President of Development Engineering Sciences, LLC. He has over 19 years of experience in the development and regulatory approval of medical devices, cell-based products and tissue engineering. A Ph.D. in Physiological Sciences from the Univ of AZ, he has served on multiple Scientific Advisory Boards in regenerative medicine. Recent accomplishments include 145 scientific abstracts, 35 peer-reviewed publications, and 6 issued US patents. As well as being awarded Arizona Business Magazine’s Healthcare 2019 Leaders Award, and the 2020 Research and Creative Activity (RCA), Northern Arizona University, “Most Significant Innovation in Technology Transfer of Commercialization” award.

Vivian Bucay, MD, FAAD – Dr. Vivian Bucay completed her dermatology training at the University of Miami and the Baylor College of Medicine. She serves as volunteer faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Health Science Center and is faculty on several other continuing medical education initiatives in the US. In addition to lecturing nationally and internationally, and publishing papers in peer reviewed journals and writing book chapters for dermatology textbooks and publications. Dr. Bucay has also been recognized as a Texas Super Doctor yearly since 2004. She recognizes one of her greatest achievements, aside from her daughters, is surviving stage 4 melanoma in 2006-7.

Emil Tanghetti, MD – Dr. Emil Tanghetti graduated first in his class and received the Dean Warren medal for academic excellence. He is a fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and a member of the California Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Dermatology. In just the last year, Dr. Tanghetti has had 13 articles published on topics including Rosacea, Acne, Psoriasis, and energy-based therapies. He’s also recently been invited to join Lasers in Surgery and Medicine as an associate editor, as well as editor for a special 2020 dermatology issue.

SAB members will also represent Aesthetics Biomedical® at industry events, conferences, drafting of scientific papers and participate in clinical trials.
